Intent
A happiness filled, vocabulary rich, experiential adventure …
Our PSHE/RSHE teaching helps children develop the knowledge and skills required to enable them to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, health and relationships and to build their self-efficacy in order to embrace the challenges of creating a happy and successful adult life. The learning is set within the wider school context and supports family commitment and love, respect and affection, knowledge and openness, recognising that family is a broad concept; not just one model. We encourage pupils and staff to share and listen to each other’s views and respect each other’s right to hold/express views. As well as creating an atmosphere where questions and discussion on personal matters can take place without any stigma or embarrassment. Our children’s learning encourages them to have high aspirations, a belief in themselves and realise that anything is possible.
